Say hello to our Creator of the Month for October: ai.otiv!
Dive into his story and show him some love over on Instagram.

What's your background and what made you decide to start creating content?

I come from the world of computer science and gaming. I’ve always been passionate about video games, and that’s really where it all started for me. Beyond playing, I was fascinated by what goes on behind the scenes of game development, especially when it comes to graphics. My curiosity led me to the world of AI when I first came across videos of animated dancers on Instagram. Since my wife is a professional dancer and teacher, I couldn’t resist diving deeper into it — it felt like the perfect bridge between my passion for technology and her world of dance.

Who are some of your favorite creators/artists?

Some of my favorite creators are definitely James Gerde (@gerdegotit) and Tyler M. Bernabe (@jboogxcreative). And of course, I have to mention @purzbeast, who taught me almost everything I know in ComfyUI through his countless hours of streaming, his work has been fundamental to my growth.

What’s your favorite thing about creating?

The most exciting and fun part for me is the very beginning of the creative process. Once I select the mask/vid I want to work on, I start experimenting with the first transformations. The results aren’t always perfect on the first try, but even the “mistakes” often reveal something fascinating. That unpredictability is what keeps me engaged.

Can you share a project that you are particularly proud of?

One project I’m especially proud of was a collaboration with dancers and students from Unione Contemporanea, my wife’s dance company. It was the first time I worked on such a long and structured video. The piece was projected live behind the dancers during their Theater performance, and seeing the choreography and the AI visuals interact in real time was truly incredible. That synergy between human movement and artificial intelligence for me felt like a new artistic language being born.

You favorite artstyle to stylize content with?

I enjoy transforming dancers into completely abstract subjects — turning them into statues, natural elements, or forms that go beyond the human body. Other times, I love using abstract paintings, often built around a single color that reflects the emotion or energy I feel from the video. This way, each piece becomes not just a stylization, but a personal interpretation of the movement and its meaning.

What I love most about Mago is how easy it is to compare results.
