What's your background and inspiration?

What made you decide to start creating content?

‍

My creative background actually started with music. I picked up guitar around 15, played in a band for years, and got obsessed with abstract, emotive sound (Radiohead will do that to you 🤣). That love for all things abstract naturally bled into visuals, and I eventually got into video editing. I then discovered AI animations in Automatic1111, and that unlocked a new way to express what I had in my head which led me to ComfyUI, where my obsession truly began😅

Who are some of your favorite creators/artists?

‍

My inspirations come more from music than visuals. Radiohead, Foals, Bonobo, The Strokes—melodic, emotionally-driven artists. Their music triggers images in my head; sometimes vague, sometimes crystal clear, and that becomes the starting point for a lot of my visual work.

Solus_FX's Favorite Things about Creating

What makes it fun?

‍

That moment when you’ve been tweaking something for hours, and you finally get the desired result. It's very addictive. I also love that I can wake up and decide, “I want to make this today,” and then just go do it. And when other people actually resonate with creations I've made puts the cherry on top.

Can you share a project/content you’re particularly proud of and why it stands out to you?

Working with some of my favourite skateboarders, namely Ryan Decenzo, and Aurélien Giraud. Skateboarders I would watch with my friends, collaborating with me, or sharing my work is super inspiring and it makes me eager to work with more of them.

Your favorite art style to stylize content with?

‍

Comic book style, 100%. Especially the gritty, vibrant aesthetic of Miles Morales Spider-Man. That look just sticks with me. But I also enjoy going the opposite direction—super polished, ultra-HD visuals when I’m in that mood. My style’s flexible depending on how I'm feeling that day 😂

Your favorite feature in Mago?

‍

For me, there isn't one single feature I would say is my favourite. What I find Mago so good at is speed, which is one of the most important things for me as a creator. I can burn through 5 or 10 bad ideas fast, which means I get to the great idea way quicker. That kind of iteration speed changes a lot for me. The results I can get from V3 now blow my mind sometimes as well! You guys have done great and I'm excited to watch Mago grow as company. I have a lot of faith that it will thrive !
